Euronext wins World’s Best Exchange and World’s Best Venue for Investor Education at the 2026 Euromoney Markets Awards
Euronext has been named World’s Best Exchange and World’s Best Venue for Investor Education at the 2026 Euromoney Markets Awards, presented at a ceremony in London on 15 October. The Euromoney Markets Awards recognise the organisations shaping the future of global markets, assessing excellence across trading, market infrastructure, innovation and operational resilience.
The recognition highlights Euronext’s role in advancing capital markets through innovation, market quality and financial education, reflecting its continued efforts to build more integrated, efficient and accessible European markets. It also acknowledges the Group’s long-standing commitment to helping retail investors, students and the wider financial ecosystem develop their understanding of capital markets.
Strengthening Europe’s capital markets
Throughout 2025, Euronext continued to advance its Innovate for Growth 2027 strategy, strengthening its position as Europe’s leading market infrastructure group through innovation, strategic expansion and the integration of European markets.
Euronext’s markets supported significant activity across asset classes. By the end of 2025, the Group recorded 76 new admissions, including IPOs, private placements and direct listings, alongside 15,021 new bond listings and 446,534 new structured product listings. These figures underline the breadth of Euronext’s role in connecting companies seeking financing with investors across European and international markets.
Euronext also continued to enhance liquidity and execution quality for institutional and retail investors. The expansion of Best of Book and Mid-Point Match, together with the launch of Auction Volume Discovery (AVD), strengthened its equity trading offering, providing market participants with greater choice and opportunities for improved execution.
In September 2025, Euronext launched Euronext ETF Europe, creating Europe’s first fully integrated ETF marketplace with a single access point for listing, trading, clearing and settlement, creating a more unified and simplified ETF ecosystem for all market participants, and enhancing investing opportunities across Europe. At the same time, Euronext expanded into Fixed Income Derivatives, launching the first-ever Mini-sized Cash-Settled Futures on main European Government Bonds, alongside increasing its Mini Equity Options range and introducing Mini ETF Options, providing innovative and diversified investing and hedging opportunities for a wide range of investor profiles.
The introduction of the European Common Prospectus also helped simplify IPO processes, supporting companies in accessing public markets and contributing to greater integration across European capital markets.
Alongside these developments, Euronext expanded its activities across geographies, including through the acquisition of ATHEX Group, and its inclusion in the CAC 40® Index in September 2025 further marked a milestone in the Group’s transformation since its 2014 IPO.
Euronext also pursued its post-trade enhancements to provide a truly integrated offering to its clients, from listing, to trading, clearing, settlement and custody, across asset classes and European markets. It launched its Repo and Cash Bonds Clearing expansion to deliver greater efficiency across funding, liquidity and capital in Europe, and now offers a new settlement model that allows equities and euro-denominated ETPs traded on Euronext Amsterdam, Brussels and Paris to settle within its single European CSD network alongside Athens, Copenhagen, Milan, Oslo and Porto. For the first time, trading members across these markets have a genuine choice of where their trades settle, and issuers have a credible new option for where their securities are issued, recorded and maintained.
Making capital markets more accessible
The recognition as World’s Best Venue for Investor Education highlights Euronext’s commitment to helping investors build the knowledge and confidence needed to participate in capital markets.
Through Academy, the training arm of Euronext, the Group has spent more than 25 years supporting retail investors, financial advisers and the wider financial ecosystem in developing their understanding of financial markets. Its educational initiatives combine accessible learning resources with practical opportunities to understand how markets operate.
The Retail Derivatives Education Programme supports investors at every stage of their options trading journey, working in partnership with leading broker partners. The Euronext Trading Game enables university students to develop practical capital markets knowledge through a risk-free trading simulation using real market data.
Euronext's public websites (Euronext.com, Live Markets and Borsaitaliana.it) serve nearly 3 million unique users each month (Source: Google Analytics), offering free access to market data, educational resources and financial insights. As a trusted destination for investors and market participants, they also provide an ideal platform for clients looking to enhance their visibility through Euronext's official communication and advertising channels.
Euronext also works to make participation in capital markets more accessible through its products and services. Best of Book, its retail execution service, delivered best execution on 98.7% of trades in 2025 and generated more than €144 million in savings for retail investors. The Euronext Global Equity Market, offering more than 1,000 European and US securities, further broadens access to international equities for retail investors.
Through IPOgo, Euronext has also simplified the IPO process to help small and medium-sized enterprises access public markets more efficiently, while expanding opportunities for retail investor participation.
Building stronger markets for the future
Euronext’s recognition at the 2026 Euromoney Markets Awards is a testament to the Group’s mission of strengthening the infrastructure that supports capital formation and trading, while helping more people understand and access financial markets.
By continuing to invest in technology, liquidity, market integration and investor education, Euronext aims to deliver greater value to clients across the capital markets value chain. Collaboration with issuers, investors, trading members and partners remains central to this ambition.
These awards recognise the progress achieved together with Euronext’s clients and partners, and reinforce the Group’s commitment to building more innovative, resilient and accessible capital markets for future generations.
