The Euronext Trading Game is a seven months trading simulation challenge designed to help students navigate the complexities of financial markets. 

Participants will manage virtual portfolios of equities and ETFs listed across Euronext’s seven marketplaces using 15-minute delayed market data. Students can take part individually with a virtual endowment of €50,000, or in groups of 5 to 7 members, managing a portfolio of €200,000.

Participants will have a dedicated space to learn, interact, and equip themselves with the tools and guidance needed to succeed  – no prior knowledge required. 

Open to students in higher education in Belgium, France, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway and Portugal, the competition promotes collaboration, integration and healthy competition among the next generation of European market participants.

THE EURONEXT TRADING GAME 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Participation in the Euronext Trading Game signifies full acceptance of these rules. To proceed with account activation, participants must tick the box confirming:

1. Concept

The Euronext Trading Game is an educational initiative aimed at enhancing participants understanding of portfolio management and responsible investing. Participants will interact with industry professionals and compete individually in an engaging environment.

Event Calendar

  • Firest Edition Dates: Monday, October 6, 2025 – Friday, April 10, 2026
  • Local Winners Announcement: 13 April 2026
  • European Final: 22, 23 April 2026.

Participation Eligibility

  • Open to European students enrolled in higher education institutions.
  • Students must provide a valid Student Enrolled Status.

Students participate individually as individual investors AND/OR as a team to form of a club.

  • Each individual profile can entrust the management of its virtual allocation - for a minimum of €3,000 and a maximum of €30,000 - to one or more clubs of its choice, with the exception of the club to which it belongs.

2. Registration Procedure

Participants must create an individual profile on the NextWise platform by completing the following required fields:

  • First Name, Last Name, Email, Password, Date of Birth, Gender
  • Role: Alumni / Student / Teacher / Visitor 
  • Optional: LinkedIn profile URL
  • Optional: Association you have heard us from 

An activation code will be sent to the registered email to confirm account creation.

Whether or not an individual joins a club, he or she can take part in the Euronext Trading Game as an individual investor.

  • Participants can join the challenge without using their individual profile, thereby competing as club members.
  • Each participant has the option of taking part in the competition as part of a team in addition to or instead of of their participation in an individual capacity.

    Participants must then form a "Club":

  • Each individual profile can recruit members.
  • Each individual profile can apply to a club.
  • Each club receives a virtual allocation of €200,000.
  • Clubs can be entrusted with the management of a virtual allocation from one or more individual investors - each payment has a minimum amount of €3,000 and a maximum amount of €30,000. a club member cannot allocate funds to his or her own club.

Further notes:

  • Alumni, teachers and visitors may create profiles to observe the competition but cannot participate.
  • Providing false information or creating multiple accounts will result in disqualification.

3. Participation Guidelines

  • Free Registration: Available via the NextWise website, App Store, and Play Store.

Prohibited Actions

  • Multiple accounts per individual.
  • False, incomplete, or inaccurate information.

Any violation of these rules will result in disqualification.

Clubs: 

  • The Club's official representative as - referred to as the President - is by default the individual profile that has received a minimum of 4 positive answers to join its club.
  • A club must be composed of 5 members minimum and 7 members maximum .
  • The club profile page is activated as soon as four members accept the invitation to join the club.
  • A club enters the competition only when it reaches a total of 5 members, including the president.
  • It is no longer possible to recruit new members. once the number of 7 members has been reached .
  • A member can quit a club at any time : but if the club has fewer than 5 members, it has 7 days to recruit new members, failing which it is automatically excluded from the competition.
  • Club profiles are evaluated throughout the Next Challenge Edition 5 period. from Monday, October 6, 2025, to April 10, 2026.
  • Club profiles are evaluated on the basis of separate quantitative and qualitative criteria.
  • Clubs are ranked separately:
    - Monthly Club Ranking = This ranking is dedicated to selecting the clubs that will participate in the Pitch Battle; it is independent of the overall ranking and is used to select the clubs that will participate in the Pitch Battles.
    General Club Ranking: updated at the end of each month, representing the points accumulated since the beginning of the challenge..

4. Investment Scope and Order Execution

Participants can invest in equties and ETFs listed on Euronext’s exchanges in Paris, Amsterdam, Lisbon, Oslo, Dublin, Milan, and Brussels.

Key Points

  • No derivative products or options are allowed.
  • Inverse ETFs are included, but penny stocks are excluded.
  • Transactions are fee-free, with real-time pricing (15-minute delay).

Order Management

  • Orders can be placed, modified, or canceled 24/7.
  • Execution is subject to market prices and portfolio liquidity.

5. Virtual Allowances

Each participant receives a virtual allocation of €50,000, if participating as an indivudal, and €2O0,000, if participating as a group, to construct their portfolio.

6. Selection Criteria

Participants are evaluated on quantitative metrics, developed by NextWise at ATPmim:

  • Gross Performance 
  • Risk-Adjusted Performance 
  • Herfindahl-Hirschman Index (HHI) 
  • Number of Sectors Covered 
  • Diversification Ratio   
  • Compliance with UCITS Rules   
  • Quiz Performance   

The local winners will then advance to a virtual European battle.

Criteria for the Pitch Battle: 

Local winners will be evaluated by a jury on qualitaive critera, including: 

  • Investment Thesis, Strategy, Portfolio Consturction, Execution.
  • Presentation, Engagement and Clarity.

7. The Jury

The jury comprises Euronext employees, chaired by a designated Jury President.

8. Prizes

  • National Winners: Certified training course from Euronext Corporate Service Academy on Financial Markets.

If a winner does not respond by April 17, 2026, their prize will be awarded to the next highest-ranking participant and they will advance to the European final.

  • European Winners: A day shadowing the local CEO of a Euronext market.

10. Responsibilities

Participants must respect the integrity of the competition. Fraud, system manipulation, or breach of the rules will result in exclusion and possible legal action.

NextWise and Euronext disclaim responsibility for:

  • Technical failures or internet disruptions beyond our control.
  • Damage to participants' equipment or data.

11. Personal Data Protection

Personal data is handled per GDPR and French Data Protection Law. Participants can request access, correction, or deletion of their data by contacting:

12. Authorizations

By participating, winners consent to having their name and location published on media platforms. Requests to opt out must be sent to the email above.

13. Evidence Agreement

NextWise’s technical systems provide definitive proof of participation and results, barring evident error.

14. Applicable Law

This challenge is governed by French law. Disputes will be resolved by competent French courts.

15. Adherence to Rules

Participation implies full acceptance of these rules. Non-compliance will result in exclusion without appeal. Organizers may modify or cancel the competition as necessary, with updates posted on the competition website.
