COPENHAGEN – November 5, 2024 - 5th Planet Games A/S (OAX: 5PG) – 5th Planet
Games is excited to announce its involvement in a new video game set in The
Walking Dead universe, based on the comic series by Robert Kirkman. Developed
under Skybound’s direction, the team will be collaborating closely with creator
Robert Kirkman.
A recent study by Owl & Co. identified The Walking Dead as the most successful
non-kids entertainment franchise wholly created this century, with revenue
reaching $1 billion.
Mark Stanger, CEO of 5th Planet Games, commented, “With the recent Owl & Co.
findings, we leapt at the opportunity to invest in this new game.”
Stanger continued, “This past October 8th marked The Walking Dead’s 21st
anniversary, and we’re excited to honor the franchise with this co-financing
deal.”
