DPI(t) = DPI(t−1) ∗ 𝐷𝑢𝑅(𝑡) / 𝐷𝑢𝑅(𝑡−1) − 𝑃𝑜𝑖𝑛𝑡𝑠 ∗ 𝑑𝑎𝑦 / 365

Where:

DPI(t−1):  Decrement Return Index value on day t-1

DPI(t): Decrement Return Index value on day t

𝐷𝑢𝑅(𝑡−1):Decrement Underlying Index value on day t-1

𝐷𝑢𝑅(𝑡): Decrement Underlying Index value on day t

𝑃𝑜𝑖𝑛𝑡𝑠: Index points per annum relevant for the index

𝑑𝑎𝑦: Number of calendar days between day t and day t-1
