Issuer
Veidekke ASA
Veidekke will build also the next construction phase comprising 91 apartments
for Ferd Eiendom's residential project Kobberkvartalet at Billingstad in Asker.
The contract is a design and build contract valued at close to NOK 240 million,
excluding VAT.
"We are pleased with the renewed confidence and that we can continue the strong
collaboration on this major project. It is especially gratifying that sales are
progressing so well, which is the clearest proof that the homes and the project
are meeting market demand. We thank Ferd for the assignment," says Kaare Gilhus,
District Manager at Veidekke Bygg Oslo.
Ferd Eiendom will develop approximately 420 homes at Vestre Billingstad, located
between Asker and Sandvika. Kobberkvartalet comprises 233 apartments across two
construction phases and is an important part of the transformation from an
industrial and commercial area into a vibrant residential neighborhood. The
second phase consists of three buildings of six to seven storeys with shared
rooftop terraces. The 91 apartments range from one-bedroom units of 38 m² to
four-room duplex apartments of up to 106 m².
"Deciding to start construction of the next phase is an important milestone for
us and a result of solid work in the project over time, combined with very
positive market reception. We have strong confidence in Kobberkvartalet and in
the qualities the project brings to Vestre Billingstad. We now look forward to
continuing the excellent collaboration with Veidekke and their team," says
Anders Holmlund, Director of Residential Development at Ferd Eiendom.
A centrally located building with extensive shared facilities for residents will
be developed as part of the project. This will include a ski waxing room and a
workshop in the basement with shared equipment and tools, as well as a guest
apartment available for rent when residents need extra space.
Construction work is already underway, with completion and handover planned
towards the end of 2028. Read more about the project
here (https://kobberkvartalet.no/).
The contract is included in Veidekke's order book for Q2 2026.
