Veidekke: New Contract Awarded by Bane NOR

Veidekke ASA
Veidekke has today signed a contract with Bane NOR for the construction of a new
overhead contact line system on the Dovre Line between Jessnes in Ringsaker and
Hamar station. The contract is a construction-only contract valued at NOK 160
million excluding VAT, plus options.
"We are very pleased to have won yet another tender competition for Bane NOR. We
are grateful for the confidence shown in us and look forward to a good
collaboration to upgrade the power supply for train traffic along this eight
-kilometre section in Innlandet," says Magnus S. Kristensen, Head of Veidekke
Bane.
The project is part of Bane NOR's development of a double-track railway line
through Stange to Hamar. The contract comprises the construction of a new
overhead contact line system with autotransformers to supply power for future
train operations on the new railway section. The main quantities included are
140 catenary masts, 172 column foundations, approximately 21 kilometres of AT
lines and 6.7 kilometres of overhead contact line. In addition, a 22 kV line
will be constructed from the Hamar converter station, including approximately
5.6 kilometres of routing for high-voltage cable.
"The contract is crucial to enable the transfer of power from the converter
station at Jessnes via Hamar Station to the new railway infrastructure in Stange
when it is completed. Veidekke Bane has solid experience with this type of work.
We have also placed strong emphasis on taking extensive consideration of
neighbouring communities," says Anders Linnestad, Project Director at Bane NOR.
Work will commence in late May and will be carried out in several phases. Most
of the construction activities will be carried out in 2026 and 2027, with
completion scheduled for 2028.
The contract will be included in Veidekke's order backlog for the second quarter
of 2026.
