Van Lanschot Kempen has won three awards at the annual Professional Wealth Management Wealth Tech Awards 2026, including Best Digital Private Bank in the Netherlands. The awards are presented annually to European wealth managers and private banks that distinguish themselves through their vision and effective use of technology.
At the awards ceremony on Thursday 23 April in London, Professional Wealth Management selected Van Lanschot Kempen as:
- Best Digital Private Bank in the Netherlands
- Best Private Bank for Digital Innovation in Europe
- Best Private Bank for Culture and Vision in Europe
In addition, Bas Rapati, Chief Analytics Officer at Van Lanschot Kempen, was named Best Digital Leader. Van Lanschot Kempen also received high commendations in the categories ‘Best Private Bank for Use of AI in Europe’ and ‘Best Private Bank for Digitally Empowering Relationship Managers in Europe’.
According to the jury report, van Lanschot Kempen is a leading example of a wealth manager that has successfully achieved both a profound cultural and digital transformation. The jury notes that, as an innovative player, Van Lanschot Kempen is attracting a growing number of admirers within the European wealth management sector.
Arjan Huisman, Chief Operating Officer Van Lanschot Kempen: “In recent years, we have made targeted investments in digital solutions that strengthen our client relationships and support our private bankers and relationship managers, enabling them to focus fully on providing advice and personal attention to clients. At the same time, we continuously seek technological solutions to make our processes simpler and more secure.
“We are therefore extremely proud to have won these awards and will continue to invest in technology that evolves in line with the needs of both our clients and our organisation. A key condition for success is relevance and adoption among colleagues, something that Bas Rapati and his team work on every day. This ensures that Van Lanschot Kempen remains an innovative, future-oriented wealth manager.”
In 2025, Van Lanschot Kempen focused, among other things, on the further development of Client Center, an advanced platform developed in-house that brings together all digital tools for private bankers and relationship managers. These include client communication, wealth planning, document management and client task management. The integrated AI assistant provides employees with predictive insights and comprehensive input to optimally prepare for and follow up on client meetings. As a result, every client interaction is meaningful and tailored to individual needs.
In addition, in 2025 Van Lanschot Kempen significantly improved its client acceptance and risk assessment process for clients who have accumulated their wealth through crypto investments. As the first financial institution in the Netherlands and Belgium, Van Lanschot Kempen now facilitates the careful onboarding of clients with digital assets by integrating structured blockchain analysis into its customer due diligence and anti-money laundering processes.
