IDEX powers first accessible biometric payment card

IDEX Biometrics has enabled TaluCard to launch the first accessible biometric
payment card, combining fingerprint authentication with tactile accessibility
features. Backed by BKF Systems and the Royal National Institute of Blind
People (RNIB), TaluCard addresses a critical market gap: secure, frictionless
payments for visually impaired users and others excluded by PIN-based systems.

The card replaces PIN-based authentication with identity-based verification
embedded directly in the card while enabling unlimited contactless
transactions. IDEX's fingerprint sensor, integrated with tactile guidance
markers and Braille, delivers precise authentication while reducing failed
attempts and accelerating transaction flow.
