Vestby Municipality signs AI contract with Ayfie

Vestby Municipality, located in Viken county, Norway, has signed a contract with
Ayfie to provide secure AI solutions to 250 municipal employees through the
Ayfie Business Agent. The contract has a value of NOK 100,000 for the initial
six-month period, corresponding to an annualised recurring revenue (ARR) of NOK
200,000 pending renewal.

The agreement includes the development of a specialised AI agent for digital
complaints handling within health and care services. The agent will support
caseworkers handling complex complaint cases governed by the Health and Care
Services Act, the Patient and User Rights Act, the Public Administration Act,
the Freedom of Information Act and the General Data Protection Regulation
(GDPR).

The complaints cases typically involve large volumes of documentation and
contain sensitive personal and health data. The AI agent will assist by sorting,
analysing and summarising case materials, extracting relevant facts, identifying
key attachments, and providing decision support by highlighting applicable
legislation, guidelines from supervisory authorities, previous decisions and,
where relevant, case law.

The solution is built with strict access control, data shielding and secure
integration with the municipality’s existing case management systems, ensuring
that sensitive information is processed in accordance with regulatory and
confidentiality requirements. Employees will be able to use a range of large
language models (LLMs), including ChatGPT, Claude and Mistral, to analyse,
search and leverage internal information without compromising security, access
control or data privacy.

The contract has an initial duration of six months with the possibility of
extension. Ayfie continues to see increasing interest from municipalities across
Norway.
