Veidekke: Water treatment plant for Equinor Energy
25 Nov 2025 15:00 CET
Issuer
Veidekke ASA
Veidekke has been engaged by Equinor Energy to build a new water treatment plant
at the Sture oil terminal in Øygarden, just outside Bergen. The construction
contract is valued at approximately NOK 200 million, excluding VAT.
"Being involved in developing the project through close collaboration from the
very start, is something we truly value and find exciting. We are therefore very
pleased to have signed this contract based on the same collaborative principles
that guided the project's development," says Thor Småbrekke, District Manager at
Veidekke Bygg Bergen.
The new water treatment facility has been developed as a joint collaborative
effort with Equinor as the client and several parallel partners. Veidekke's
scope includes constructing a concrete building for the treatment plant with
cast water tanks and technical installations, as well as ground and site
preparation.
Construction work is already underway, with completion scheduled for autumn
2027.
The contract will be included in Veidekke's order backlog for the fourth quarter
of 2025.
