HMB Construction AB, a subsidiary of AF Gruppen, has signed a contract with
Hebygårdar AB for the construction of the Tallgården care home in Östervåla. The
contract value is SEK 162 million, excluding VAT.
The project will be carried out as a turnkey contract and includes the
demolition of the existing building as well as the construction of a modern care
home with 40 apartments, from groundwork to completion. HMB will perform both
concrete and carpentry work in-house and will use its own method for erecting
the structural frame to ensure efficient production and high quality.
“We greatly appreciate the trust placed in us to deliver this project together
with Hebygårdar. Tallgården will be an important contribution to elderly care in
Heby municipality, and the project demonstrates HMB’s strength in building
residential and care facilities,” says Bård Frydenlund, EVP of AF Gruppen
Sweden.
Construction is scheduled to start in January 2026, with completion expected in
April 2028. Demolition work will begin in the winter of 2025/2026, followed by
groundwork in spring 2026.
