Orkla reports continued growth

In the third quarter, Orkla reported operating revenues of NOK 17.9 billion,
with organic growth of 4.4%, including 1.3% from volume/mix.
Orkla increased EBIT (adj.) by 2.1% to NOK 2.0 billion compared to the same
period last year. Underlying EBIT (adj.) for the consolidated portfolio
companies (including Orkla ASA and Business Services) increased by 1.1%.
Profit from associated companies totalled NOK 603 million, primarily related
to Orkla's 42.7% ownership share in Jotun. Adjusted for negative currency
translation effects, Jotun delivered sales growth of 4%, primarily from
increased volumes as well as increased sales of premium products in the
Decorative segment. Reported EBITA growth was 6% during the quarter, and 12%
excluding currency effects.
Orkla's profit before tax ended at NOK 2.0 billion. Earnings per share (adj.)
for the quarter was NOK 1.85, an increase of 9% year-over-year.
On 6 November, Orkla India was successfully listed on the Indian Stock
Exchange. Following the listing, Orkla retains a 75% ownership stake in Orkla
India.
