Elektroimportøren AS issues product recall following asbestos findings

Oslo, 28 October 2025: Elektroimportøren AS announces that it this week has
initiated a full recall of a construction board product after laboratory
analysis confirmed traces of asbestos in samples from the product.
The affected product, Procon Masterplate 1200x600x6mm, has been on sale since
September 2024. In total, 9431 boards have been sold to approximately 700
customers, total turnover of NOK 1 million.
The supplier and importer of the affected product, R&D Sourcing AS, is a
Norwegian company. The product is CE-marked, and the manufacturing plant is
ISO-certified. All certificates and laboratory test reports presented to
Elektroimportøren show no presence of asbestos.
Upon being informed of the findings, Elektroimportøren immediately removed the
product from all stores and warehouses and activated established safety and
recall procedures. Customers who have purchased the product have been contacted
directly.
