The Norwegian state has filed an appeal to the Supreme Court over the ruling
from the Borgarting Court of Appeal in which the key permits for the Engebø
rutile and garnet project were challenged.
"The appeal and the statements made by the ministers in conjunction with the
appeal is clear evidence of the continuing strong support we experience from the
government for the Engebø rutile and garnet project" says Finn Ivar Marum, CEO
of Nordic Mining.
The permits for the Engebø rutile and garnet project remain valid for the
company and Nordic Mining is continuing the production ramp up.
