Horisont Energi AS: NOS Group becomes new main owner in the company

Sandnes, Norway, 28.08.2025 – The Board of Horisont Energi AS ("Horisont Energi"
or the "Company") provides the following reflections on the news that NOS Group
has purchased 48.52 % of the shares in the Company, as announced in the press
release of 28.08.2025.

The Company has for a considerable time been working actively to secure funding
for its core projects without success. On 21 August, The Board consequently
decided to instigate a plan to wind down the day-to-day operations.
The new owner has expressed that he will continue the operations and has
communicated ambitious plans to develop the Company further. The Board’s view,
this is a good outcome for the Company, its employees and the other
shareholders.

Ivar Hognestad from NOS GROUP stated that “With our experience with industrial
development, we see significant potential for cooperation and value creation
with the investment. The investment will give NOS Group a key position in the
green transition and creates potential to develop new business areas for our
companies, which may become significant contributors towards our strategy for
continued growth.”

The Board will cooperate closely with the new main owner to align plans and
activities.
