Helgesen Tekniske Bygg AS (HTB), a company within AF Gruppen, has signed a
turnkey contract with a fish farming company for the upgrade of a smolt facility
in Western Norway. The contract value is approximately NOK 160 million,
excluding VAT.
The scope of the contract includes the delivery of a new unit for smolt growth
and hatching. The existing hall will be demolished and replaced with a new
facility. A separate building for feed storage, will also be constructed. In
addition to construction works, the project includes the installation of new
technical systems for smolt production and hatching, as well as an energy system
for initial feeding.
Over the course of nearly two years leading up to the contract, HTB has
developed the project in close collaboration with the client and subcontractors.
“We’ve had an excellent working relationship with the client throughout the
development phase. Now we’re looking forward to getting started with
construction,” says Ronny Laastad, Managing Director of HTB.
Demolition of the existing structures is already underway, with construction
scheduled to begin in August 2025. The project is expected to be completed in
the second quarter of 2026.
