Hynion provides July 2025 update
01 Jul 2025 08:57 CEST
Issuer
Hynion AS
Hynion AS provides a status update as the company works to manage a challenging
period involving delayed financing, limited operations, and ongoing strategic
discussions. The company continues to work in several areas, including
operations and partner dialogue, to support the company’s development. This
includes the temporary shutdown of the Høvik station in Norway, which remains
out of service while the company works to resume operations.
A key focus remains the long-awaited financing process. As previously
communicated in the press release from April 28, 2025, Hynion is working to
finalize a major long-term financing solution. While the structure of the
agreement has been in place for some time, progress has been delayed by factors
outside the company’s control, including the bankruptcy of the Swedish
subsidiary. Hynion remains hopeful that the agreement can be finalized soon.
At the same time, the company is engaged in discussions with several players in
the hydrogen sector, including vehicle suppliers and infrastructure stakeholders
with an interest in expanding the hydrogen refueling network in Scandinavia.
As part of its efforts to secure stable and competitively priced hydrogen
sources, Hynion is in ongoing discussions with Coolergy S.L., a Spanish company
developing technology for the use and distribution of liquid hydrogen. The two
companies previously signed a Letter of Intent and are continuing to explore a
collaboration.
In other news, Carl Christopher Tornblom has chosen to step down as chairman of
the board to focus on his own ventures. The board thanks him for his
contribution and wishes him all the best in his future endeavors. A new chairman
will be appointed at the Annual General Meeting.
Due to delays following the bankruptcy of the Swedish subsidiary, including
limited access to relevant data and additional administrative work, the 2024
annual report will be published no later than August 28, 2025.
”We know many are waiting for positive news, and we appreciate the patience and
support from those who continue to believe in us. We're doing everything we can
to move forward. Some matters are still pending or awaiting final confirmation,
but we’ll share more as soon as we are able to,” says Slavica Djuric, CEO of
Hynion AS.
