Goodtech ASA
Goodtech increases the industry’s competitiveness and strengthens its position
as the leading supplier of automation and digitalization to the fish feed
industry through a new contract win with Biomar in Denmark. Goodtech has been
awarded the scope to deliver an important digital system upgrade for BioMar in
Brande, Denmark, that will improve the production process, ensure optimal
control of the production flow and provide the infrastructure for advanced data
handling into operations.
Biomar and Goodtech have a long-standing partnership and Goodtech has executed
several successful projects together with Biomar on their sites across Europe.
The upgrade at Brande follows their ambition to be a leading fish feed producer
and with that ambition optimal production flow and production data is essential.
In this project, Goodtech shall deliver advanced supervisory control and data
acquisition (SCADA), several programmable control systems (PLC) and
manufacturing execution system (MES) solutions based on BioMar’s own global
template. This upgrade will further enhance BioMar Denmark’s production
efficiency, data integration, and operational excellence.
“As a leading independent supplier of industrial optimization, we are proud to
support BioMar Denmark with the expertise and proven execution methods needed
for this important upgrade,” said Margrethe Hauge, Goodtech’s CEO. “Our
solutions will integrate seamlessly with BioMar’s global standards and
contribute to ongoing improvements in efficiency, sustainability, and
digitalization.”
Biomar’s Director of Manufacturing & Technology, Roger Hendry said “One of our
core strategic initiatives is to deploy globally standardized plant
infrastructure supporting Manufacturing Excellence. Our strategic partnership
with Goodtech allows us to work together to develop, design and deploy
state-of-the-art industrial IT that supports our vision to leverage cutting edge
knowledge and long-lasting partnerships to deliver truly efficient, sustainable
feed production for our customers.”
The project has an undisclosed value and will commence in June 2025 and is
expected to be completed by April 2026.
