HMB Construction, a part of AF Gruppen Sweden, has signed an agreement with
Förvaltningsbolaget Nordhall Handelsbolag for a major expansion of Ahlsell’s
distribution centre in Hallsberg, where Ahlsell Sverige AB is the tenant. The
contract value amounts to approximately SEK 560 million excluding VAT.
The project will be carried out as a collaborative contract, with HMB
Construction responsible for the construction. The expansion includes an
increase in warehouse capacity of around 37,000 square meters, including three
floors of picking mezzanines, a new standalone restaurant with a rooftop terrace
of approximately 1,700 square meters, and the refurbishment of office spaces and
locker rooms covering approximately 3,300 square meters. The project also
involves adaptations to the existing pipe hall and modernization of the area's
entry and exit points.
"We are proud to contribute to Ahlsell's continued growth in Hallsberg and look
forward to close collaboration with Förvaltningsbolaget Nordhall Handelsbolag
and Ahlsell Sverige," says Bård Frydenlund, EVP Sweden at AF Gruppen.
Construction is set to begin in June 2025, with completion expected by March
2027.
