Veidekke ASA
Kristiansand Næringsselskap has awarded Veidekke the contract for the
construction of a new ambulance station with office building at Sørlandet
Hospital in Kristiansand. The assignment is a turnkey contract worth almost 120
million kroner excl. VAT.
- This is an assignment we are very grateful to have won. We are already well
underway with the interaction phase of the major project with a new emergency
building and a new municipal health center at Sørlandet Hospital, so it is
particularly appropriate for our people to start with the ambulance station now,
says district manager Atle Monan at Veidekke Bygg Agder.
The new building of 5,200 m2 over five floors will help strengthen the
preparedness and efficiency of the ambulance service, while also providing
modern and flexible office space for rental within, among other things, the
health-related industry. The building will be sustainable to meets current and
future requirements for functionality, environment and aesthetics with good
parking facilities and proximity to public transport.
The ambulance station itself will be built with a garage for eight cars with a
washing area, cloakrooms, a living area with a kitchen, a separate office area
and a soundproof bedroom area shielded from noise from the rest of the building.
Construction work will begin fairly immediately with planned completion of the
ambulance station in October and the office building in December, both in 2026.
The contract will be included in Veidekke's order book for the second quarter of
2025.
