Atea Q1 2025 financial report and presentation
29 Apr 2025 07:00 CEST
Issuer
Atea ASA
Atea reported record high operating profit for the first quarter, driven by
strong sales growth across all geographies and across all lines of business.
Gross sales in Q1 increased by 16.4% to NOK 13.3 billion. Organic growth in
constant currency was 13.9%. Currency fluctuations had a positive impact of 2.2%
on sales growth. Hardware sales grew by 16.2%, software sales grew by 21.4%, and
services sales grew by 8.6% from last year.
Total revenue (IFRS) grew by 12.5% to NOK 8.6 billion. Gross profit grew by 5.0%
to NOK 2.7 billion, as margins fell due to an increased proportion of hardware
sales and third-party services in the revenue mix. Furthermore, hardware margins
normalized from historically high levels in Q1 last year.
EBIT grew by 9.8% to NOK 281 million based on strong sales performance and
relatively low growth in operating costs.
Cash flow from operations was an outflow of NOK 881 million, compared with an
outflow of NOK 903 million in Q1 last year. Cash flow in both years was impacted
by ordinary seasonal fluctuations in working capital. Atea had a net financial
position of NOK 250 million at the end of Q1 2025 (net cash), compared with NOK
-117 million last year (net debt).
Atea CEO Steinar Sønsteby commented: "Atea has seen solid growth in demand
across all geographies and all business lines during the first quarter. We
expect the market to maintain a healthy rate of growth and have not seen any
material impact on our business from recent macroeconomic factors. Our customers
are steadily increasing their investment in information technology. As the
largest IT infrastructure partner in the Nordic and Baltic region, we are
uniquely positioned to provide a full range of products and services to help
customers successfully pursue their digital transformation initiatives."
