BEWI, a leading provider of packaging, components, and insulation solutions,
today publishes its integrated annual report for 2024. The report includes the
remuneration report in accordance with section 6-16b of the Norwegian Public
Limited Liabilities Companies Act and has been prepared in accordance with the
Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), and the European
Sustainability Reporting Standard (ESRS).
The report is attached in PDF and European Single Electronic Format (ESEF), and
is available at BEWI's website, www.bewi.com/investors/reports-presentations/
The independent assurance statement in relation to BEWI's sustainability linked
bond loan has also been published and is available at
www.bewi.com/investors/financing
The annual report was approved by the board of directors of BEWI on 26 March
2025 without material changes to the preliminary accounts for the full year 2024
announced on 13 February 2025.
"We are proud of how BEWI has navigated in challenging markets and positioned
ourselves for long-term growth. We have demonstrated a strong ability to adapt
through the downturn in the building and construction industry" says the chair
of the board Gunnar Syvertsen and CEO Christian Bekken of BEWI ASA.
In 2024, BEWI improved the energy - and resource efficiency of its operations,
resulting in reduced emissions and costs. The group increased the use of
renewable energy sources, strengthened its collection of used EPS, and
significantly increased the use of recycled materials in its production. Strong
circular capabilities, allowed for launch of multiple solutions including
recycled and bio-based content, showcasing leadership in circular solutions for
the customers.
"Our strategy is clear. We will sustain operational excellence while
accelerating growth in energy-efficient solutions for buildings and circular
packaging. We are confident in our ability to leverage on existing assets and
increase profitability as the markets slowly recovers", Syvertsen and Bekken
continues.
For the EU to reach its net-zero emissions scenario, the energy-efficiency of
the building sector must improve. With a strong competitive advantage from its
circular capabilities, BEWI is well-positioned to capitalise on these
opportunities and drive long-term growth.
