Zaptec ASA: Sales start of new home charger in Central Europe

Zaptec ASA
Sandnes, 18 February 2025:
Zaptec sets a new standard for electric vehicle charging, with the launch of
Zaptec Go 2. This product is set to redefine home charging, not only ensuring
better charging performance but also enabling electric vehicles to serve as a
valuable resource for the energy ecosystem.
The home charger features a built-in display and a certified MID meter,
providing accurate insights into energy consumption—an important technological
move for gaining a competitive edge in Central Europe. It also opens the door to
the business market, thanks to compliance with regulations, and support for
solar energy and Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technology.
Kurt Østrem, CEO of Zaptec, highlights the importance of this milestone:
“Our latest technological development is a key milestone for Zaptec. It gives us
a strong competitive edge in Europe and sets us up for the next stage of our
strategy: expanding into Central Europe. In the future, this technology will
allow electric vehicles to be used as a power source for both homes and the
energy grid.”
Zaptec Go 2 will initially be available in Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, the
Netherlands, and Luxembourg — markets with high regulatory standards and
significant demand for precise charging solutions. A further rollout to the rest
of Zaptec’s markets is planned for the second half of 2025.
