HAV Group ASA: Subsidiary to equip live fish carriers

HAV Group ASA
11 February 2025 – HAV Group’s water treatment system business has been
contracted to deliver its water treatment solutions to two live fish carriers
that will operate in the aquaculture industry.
The contract, which is signed with an undisclosed customer, is worth in excess
of NOK 20 million.
At the end of the third quarter last year, HAV Group’s water treatment systems
business reported an order backlog of NOK 46 million.
“The observant shareholder sees that water treatment packages to the aquaculture
industry are considerably larger than standard-size ballast water treatment
systems. This is also reflected in the contract value, as this contract is a
good example of. We are seeing increased activity within both traditional and
land-based aquaculture, and we are hopeful of securing more work in this
industry going forward,” says Gunnar Larsen, CEO of HAV Group.
HAV Group’s contract party is Norwegian Greentech AS, which is a supplier of
ballast water treatment systems and other systems for purification of water for
use in the aquaculture industry and in the maritime sector. The company has a
track record of delivering its water treatment technologies to more than 800
vessels worldwide and more than 30 systems for water treatment on board live
fish carriers.
