Veidekke ASA: To build a new preschool in Tyresö, Sweden

Veidekke has been contracted by Tyresö municipality, near Stockholm, to build a
new preschool in Bollmora which will accommodate 160 children. The contract
value is approximately SEK 125 million.

Central Tyresö requires more permanent preschool capacity under municipal
auspices, and the municipality has tasked Veidekke with building a new preschool
adjacent to Bergfotens school.

"Tyresö is constantlig developing. In building for our community, we aim to
promote the Tyresö values and think sustainably, humanely, green and blue. With
this in mind, we look forward to starting the construction of Bergfotens
preschool together with Veidekke. This will provide the children of central
Tyresö residents with preschool services close to home," says Louise Bergman,
who heads Tyresö municipality's department for strategy and projects.

The execution contract includes construction of the preschool with school yard
and adjacent outdoor areas. The preschool will be built in accordance with the
municipality's pre-prepared preschool concept, which is designed to facilitate
modern teaching methods with a focus on smaller groups. The two-floor L-shaped
school building will comprise crosslaminated wood framework, erected on a
concrete slab.

"We look forward to working closely with the municipality to build an
outstanding preschool for Tyresö's smallest citizens. Our team are experienced
school builders and understand the importance of taking into account all who are
out and about in the area during construction, especially pupils at the school
next door. Naturally, our highest priority is safety around the construction
site," says Linus Wåhlin at Veidekke.

Veidekke is currently working with the municipality to prepare the start of
construction and draw up a timeline for the project. Construction is currently
scheduled to start this month, with project completion set for November 2026.

The contract is included in the Q4 2024 order book.
