Veidekke: To renovate primary school in Huddinge

Veidekke's Swedish subsidiary Arcona is about to start the remodelling of
Solfagraskolan primary school for Huddinge Samhällsfastigheter AB. The
collaborative design and build project has a total contract value of SEK 400
million.

Solfagraskolan is a preschool to sixth grade primary school in Huddinge. The
initial project phases, comprising planning and design, start immediately. The
current school buildings will be demolished and replaced by modern wooden
buildings certified in accordance with the environmental building standard
Miljöbyggnad 4.0, level silver. The new school will comprise a total area of
approx. 8,000 square metres. Also included in the project is an option to build
a 1,200-2,000 square metres sports facility.

This an important project to Arcona, both with regard to sustainability and as a
response to the growing demand for modern educational premises:

During the past summer, the school moved to temporary pavilions, which will
house the students until the new school building is ready for occupancy from the
autumn semester 2028. Construction is expected to be completed in spring 2028.

"We are excited to start designing a functional and brand new school building in
collaboration with Arcona. The modernisation required at Solfagraskolan is
beyond what is feasible within the current premises. The choice of wood as the
main material underpins our ambition to reduce the climate impact," says Håkan
Lindblom at Huddinge Samhällsfastigheter.

The contract is included in the order book for the current quarter.
