Oslo, 9 October 2024: Spir Group ASA (OSE: SPIR) is today announcing that Sikri
AS, a Spir Group subsidiary, has entered into a new partnership with Telenor
with the ambition of elevating the value of IoT technology. The partnership
combines Telenor's expertise in telecommunications with Sikri's advanced
technology for data collection and analysis.
The partnership provides a comprehensive ecosystem for IoT and builds on and
formalizes previous collaborations between Sikri and Telenor. As Norway’s
leading telecom operator, Telenor delivers reliable network coverage and
capacity optimized for IoT. This will be connected with Sikri’s AIoT platform,
which collects and analyzes data from various types of sources. These can
include real-time recordings from IoT devices and IoT sensors, as well as
publicly available data sources and historical data.
“We are excited to announce our partnership with Telenor. We look forward to
leveraging the potential of data to help our customers make sound,
business-critical decisions. This partnership allows us to deliver a complete
IoT value chain that provides real insight and value for our public sector
customers,” says Per Haakon Lomsdalen, CEO of Spir Group.
Sikri and Telenor aim to offer a complete service for data collection and
analysis to the public sector in Norway and the Nordic region. The agreement
defines how the two companies will collaborate on product and service delivery,
ensuring a coherent and complete solution for customers. With the help of
artificial intelligence, data is interpreted into insights and predictions. This
allows decision-makers to base their decisions on the analysis of extensive
real-world data.
“Our mobile network is optimized for IoT, allowing sensors to easily connect and
send large volumes of data. IoT technology has great potential, and we are very
pleased to partner with Sikri and look forward to our collaboration to further
strengthen the value of IoT technology,” says Tom Carlsen, Head of IoT Sales at
Telenor.
