Reference is made to the stock exchange notice of 26 October 2023, 5 December
2023, 17 April 2024, 21 June 2024 and 24 September 2024 regarding the merger of
SpareBank 1 SR-Bank ASA and SpareBank1 Sørøst-Norge.

Pursuant to and in accordance with Article 1 (5) (e) of the EU regulation on
prospectuses, and repeal of Directive 2014/71/EC, as amended, and as implemented
in Norway in accordance with § 7- 1 of the Norwegian Securities Trading Act,
SpareBank 1 SR-bank ASA has drawn up an exempted document that describes the
main features of the merger (the "Exempted Document"). The Exemption Document is
not a prospectus and has not been reviewed or approved by the Norwegian
Financial Supervisory Authority or any other public authority. The Exemption
Document has been prepared exclusively for use in connection with the issuance
and admission to listing of the consideration shares that will be issued to the
equity certificate holders in SpareBank 1 Sørøst-Norge upon completion of the
merger, which is planned to be carried out on 1 October 2024.

The Exemption Document does not constitute an offer or solicitation to buy
securities issued by SpareBank 1 SR-Bank ASA or SpareBank 1 Sørøst-Norge. Nor is
any offer to buy or sell securities made through the Exemption Document.
