Updated green bond framework
28 Jun 2024 10:00 CEST
OBOS-banken has, together with other bond issuers in the OBOS Group, renewed the
green framework for issuing green bonds.
OBOS-banken has in its business strategy defined sustainable banking as part the
strategic foundation. This means that the bank must exercise social
responsibility, take green responsibility and use the bank's position to
contribute to the development of a sustainable society. In connection with the
strategy work, strategic KPIs have also been established for green lending,
green issuance and employee satisfaction. The bank also plays an important role
in financing the maintenance and sustainable upgrading of the housing companies'
buildings. Housing companies are ESG-assessed, and ESG risk is mapped as part of
the credit assessment of long-term loans to housing companies. The bank focuses
on advice and raising awareness to reduce portfolio risk. The bank also
emphasizes social sustainability by providing loans for home purchases with the
home purchase models “Bostart” and “Deleie”. In this way, the bank contributes
to giving more people the opportunity to own their own home.
SEB has been the adviser in connection with the renewal of the framework, which
has been written in line with the "ICMA Green Bond Principles" and has been
verified by S&P Global Ratings through a "Second-Party Opinion (SPO)".
The updated green framework and associated SPO are attached and are available on
our website (www.obos.no/bedrift/ir/).
