AF Gruppen has been awarded the contract to build a new sewage treatment plant
in Knislinge in Östra Göinge municipality on behalf of Skåne Blekinge
Vattentjänst AB (SBVT). The value of the contract is SEK 261 million excluding
VAT. The contract will be carried out as a turnkey contract.
The new sewage treatment plant will handle wastewater from the urban areas of
Knislinge, Broby and Sibbhult as well as surrounding smaller urban areas. The
project includes a complete facility with necessary building and groundwork,
machinery, HVAC, and electrical instillations, as well as project planning and
construction work.
“We are proud to be trusted to build this important project. The construction of
Knislinge’s new sewage treatment plant will not only modernize the region’s
infrastructure but also strengthen our commitment to sustainability and social
development,” says Bård Frydenlund, EVP Sweden at AF Gruppen
Project planning will start in the fall of 2024, and the construction is
scheduled to begin in the spring of 2025.
