Company profile

AKWEL specializes in the design, manufacturing, and marketing of automotive equipment. The group's activity is organized around 5 families of product:
  • door opening and hinging mechanisms: door stops and hinges, locks, opening controls, foot switches, etc.;
  • fuel systems;
  • motor parts: air distributors, filtration and cooling systems, fuel injection ramps, etc.;
  • windshield washing electrical components and complete systems (Mecatronic);
  • closure systems. The group also develops an aftermarket activity.
At the end 2023, the group had more than 40 production sites worldwide. Net sales (including intragroup) are distributed geographically as follows: France (25.9%), Europe and Africa (32.6%), North America (29.9%), South America (0.3%) and other (11.3%).
