Geopolitics in the Boardroom: rethinking strategy in uncertainty
Euronext Sustainability Week
The webinar “Geopolitics in the Boardroom: rethinking strategy in uncertainty” explores on how boards should adapt as geopolitical uncertainty increasingly shapes business strategy, technology choices and sustainability.
The agenda centred on three priorities: mapping critical dependencies across markets, suppliers, energy and technology; balancing efficiency with the cost of resilience in investment and financing decisions; and equipping boards with the expertise, information and decision-making processes to respond quickly and securely to geopolitical crises.
Moderated by Camille Leca, it brought together:
- Paolo Amato – Italian independent director; board member of Fincantieri, Prysmian Group and Telepass, where he chairs or sits on the control, risk and sustainability committees; Chairman of Eolo and Construction Holding.
- Daniela Weber-Rey, LL.M. – German lawyer (Rechtsanwältin, Attorney-at-Law, New York) and non-executive director of Fnac Darty; board member of the Berlin Institute for Governance and Leadership and of the Leibniz Institute for Financial Research SAFE; a leading European voice on corporate governance.
- Caroline Ruellan – French governance expert; board member at Ardian and former director of Atos; founder and CEO of SONJ Conseil and President of the Cercle des Administrateurs.
- Laura Perez Martinez – Chief Credit Officer for EMEA at Moody’s Ratings, responsible for the quality and consistency of credit analysis across the region.
