It is co-listed on the New York and Toronto stock exchanges under the symbol BAM and
BAM.A, respectively.

Brookfield Asset Management Inc specializes in asset management, primarily in the real estate and energy sectors. Revenues break down by activity as follows:

• real estate property management (44.3%): managing EUR39.6 billion in real estate assets at the end of 2009, broken down by type of asset into commercial properties (57.1%) and other (15.8%). The remaining sales (27.1%) are from infrastructure improvement services;
• fund management (27.7%): pension funds, venture capital, investment funds, etc.;
• energy asset management (10%): operating 164 hydroelectric plants at the end of 2009 (total installed capacity of 4,198 MW), located primarily in North America;
• other (18%).

At the end of 2009, the group was managing assets with a total value of EUR75.6 billion.
Revenues are distributed geographically as follows: Canada (18.7%), the United States (47.8%) and other (33.5%).
