Banco BPI is one of the most important Portuguese banking groups. Its activities are organized into four areas:</p>

retail banking: sales of traditional banking and specialized financial services and products via a network of 882 branches located in Portugal (697), Angola (114), and Mozambique (71);</li>
<li>
investment, financial, and market banking: consulting for merger-acquisitions, investment capital, specialized financing (for projects, acquisitions, etc.), stock brokerage, capital market activities, etc.;</li>
<li>
private banking;</li>
<li>
asset management: EUR15.7 billion in assets managed for third parties at the end of 2009.</li>
</ul>
<p>
At the end of 2009, the group managed EUR22.6 billion in current deposits and EUR29.9 billion in current credits.<br />
Portugal accounts for 71.2% of revenues.</p>
