The information, data and analysis contained in Euronext Commitments of Traders (‘CoT’) reports (i) include the proprietary information of Euronext and its content providers, (ii) may not be copied or further disseminated except as specifically authorized by Euronext (databyeuronext@euronext.com ) and (iii) do not constitute investment advice.
This CoT report has been prepared in accordance with MiFID II principles for all Euronext commodity contracts, irrespective of their level of open interest. Please refer to MiFID II public documentation for more details. The purpose of this report is to present a breakdown of positions by market participant classification under MIFID2, including where appropriate an additional identification of hedge positions (“risk-reducing”) for non-financial entities. The sum of all positions may therefore not reconcile exactly with the open interest published by the clearing house which pursues different purposes without, in particular, aggregating futures positions with their converted equivalent options positions like this CoT report does. Furthermore, this report is based on data reported by members with no other retreatment than some minimum consistency checks. Should a member fail to classify a market participant, the corresponding position will not appear in any category in the CoT report. However, that position will be kept in the total open interest figures used as basis for the computation of the percentage represented by each category of identified market participants; as a consequence, the sum of their associated percentages may not be equal to 100%. Whilst all reasonable care has been taken to ensure the accuracy of the content, Euronext does not guarantee its accuracy or completeness, Euronext shall therefore not be held liable for any loss or damages of any nature ensuing from using, trusting or acting on information provided.
