Oct 22 (Reuters) - Buyout group CVC is in the very early stages of assessing a bid to take Verisure private, a person familiar with the matter said, less than a year after Hellman & Friedman floated the Swedish security firm in Stockholm.

There was no guarantee Amsterdam-listed CVC would pursue a deal and no offer has been made to Verisure, the person said.

• Verisure provides professionally monitored security services across 18 countries in Europe and Latin America. It was listed by Hellman & Friedman in October 2025 at a valuation of €13.7 billion ($15.39 billion)

• Its value has since fallen to about €9.7 billion, LSEG data shows, with its shares down more than 33% so far this year

• Verisure and CVC declined to comment

• Hellman & Friedman remains Verisure's largest shareholder with a 43.62% stake, LSEG data shows
