PARIS, Oct 12 (Reuters) - Stellantis plans to build small electric vehicles in Pomigliano, Italy, based on the e-car platform being developed together with Leapmotor in Mirafiori, the company's chief technology officer Ned Curic said on Monday.

• Speaking at the Paris auto show, Curic said its e-car programme had kicked off, with Stellantis staff working with Leapmotor colleagues at the group's Mirafiori complex in Turin, Italy

• "We have joint locations in Mirafiori, where our engineers and their engineers sit and we teach them what it takes to build a European city car platform, while we are also learning from them how to go and build fast," he said

• While Stellantis has deep expertise in producing small cars, it is learning from Leapmotor how to build them in just two years, he added

• With a price tag of around €15,000 ($16,770), e-cars are a new category of low-cost EVs aimed at reviving Europe's shrinking entry-level car market.

• Stellantis is planning at least two e-car models, expected to hit the market in 2028, to be made in its Pomigliano, Italy plant.

• They include the Citroen 2CV, a concept of which was unveiled on Monday
