Tesla sales in Portugal more than quadruple in May

June 1 (Reuters) - Tesla's new car registrations in Portugal soared nearly 350% in May from a year ago to 1,463 units, while overall sales of fully-electric car light passenger vehicles rose 56.1% to 6,988, the country's automobile industry association ACAP said on Monday.

In the January-May period, Tesla sales rose 58.4% to 4,392 vehicles, outpacing a 33% increase in all electric car sales, it said.
