Activity description
Areva is the world leader in nuclear energy production. Net sales (not including sold divisions) break down by activity as follows:
- Upstream division (40.7%): nuclear fuel fabrication using uranium;
- Reactors & Services division (37.2%): design, construction and maintenance of nuclear reactors;
- Downstream division (18.8%; No. 1 worldwide): recycling and storage of used fuel, decontamination and dismantling of nuclear installations;
- other (3.3%).
Net sales (not including sold divisions) are distributed geographically as follows: France (39.2%), Europe (24.6%), Asia/Pacific (17%), America (16.9%), Africa and Middle East (2.3%).
