Multiconsult ASA's (Oslo: MULTI) wholly owned subsidiary LINK Arkitektur AB has
been selected by NCC Sverige AB as architectural partner for the development of
Region Norrbotten's new hospital in Kiruna, Sweden. The project forms a key part
of the ongoing transformation of Kiruna and the region's long-term
infrastructure development.
The assignment comprises architectural design services from the early planning
and concept phase through detailed design. The new hospital is planned to
comprise more than 40 000 square metres, including a helicopter landing facility
and infrastructure elements.
The parties have entered into a Letter of Intent and work on the project has
commenced. A final contract is expected to be signed during August 2026.
According to information provided by the client and project organisation, the
value of the first project phase is estimated at approximately SEK 30 million,
while the total potential assignment including options is estimated at
approximately SEK 80 million.
The project is expected to continue through 2031.
