Oslo, 31 March 2023: Höegh Autoliners ASA ("Höegh Autoliners" or the "Company",
ticker code “HAUTO”) today publishes the annual report for the year ending on 31
December 2022, combining both financial and sustainability reporting. This
acknowledges the increasing significance of the environmental, social, and
governance aspects of reporting to our stakeholders, emphasizing the Company’s
unwavering focus to be the leading green partner for RoRo shipping.

Highlights of the year:

• Record financial performance in 2022: USD 1,270 million in Group revenue (up
34% Y-o-Y), USD 447 million in operating profit before depreciation,
amortization, and impairment (EBITDA) (up 120% Y-o-Y), USD 299 million in profit
of the year (up 139% Y-o-Y). Equity ratio per 31.12.2022 was 61% (up from 48%
per end of 2021).
• Refinancing of existing mortgage concluded in Q2 2022 on attractive market
terms, significantly reducing annual downpayment. Financing for the first 8
Aurora class vessels secured.
• Firm order of the first 8 Aurora class vessels placed during the first half of
2022, with option and slot reservation for another 8 that could be declared in
the near future. Purchase options for 5 vessels on long term leased were
declared, significantly reducing charter cash cost and exposure to the charter
market.
• Höegh Autoliners was one of the first shipping companies to join the First
Mover Coalition in September 2022, committing to run at least 5% of deep sea
shipping on zero emission fuel by 2030. The Company was also among top 5%
companies evaluated to receive EcoVadis Gold medal rating for sustainability.
