Handelsbanken is honored to be included in this year's Sustainability Yearbook
from S&P Global. Being included in the Sustainability Yearbook means that
Handelsbanken is in the top 15 per cent of the world’s banks, in terms of our
sustainability rating.

To be listed in the Yearbook, companies must score within the top 15 per cent of
their industry and must achieve an S&P Global Sustainability Score within 30 per
cent of their industry’s top-performing company. Handelsbanken is proud to be
among those to have reached this distinction.

"It is always gratifying to have our work validated, says Catharina Belfrage
Sahlstrand, Chief Sustainability and Climate Officer at Handelsbanken. However
it is no reason to sit back and relax. The focus on sustainability in the
financial sector increased further during 2022, both in terms of regulations and
in our customer’s demand for sustainability considerations and support in our
products and advisory services. We expect this focus to grow in an even faster
pace during the coming years."

Handelsbanken believes that by letting finance and sustainability meet and
integrate we have an effective tool to tackle some of society’s most urgent
challenges and enable sustainable growth for future generations. Learn more
