Madrid, October 22nd - The quoted Spanish company Lleida.net (BME:LLN; EPA:ALLLN) has received a new patent from the Mexican government, and already has 187 inventions recognized all over the world. The patent, granted by the Mexican Institute of Intellectual Property (IMPI), corresponds to its method for the certification of electronic mail containing a recognized electronic signature by a telecommunications operator. This patent, the second that the company receives from the Mexican authorities, is valid for 20 years and has been registered under number 15382665.6. "Mexico is for us a key market in which we plan to continue expanding in the coming years. Due to its size, its position in Latin America and its proximity to the United States, it is a key country for Lleida.net international expansion", explained Sisco Sapena, general director and founder of the company. The company already has one of the most powerful intellectual property portfolios in the digital signature and certified electronic communications sector. More than 50 countries on five continents have granted patents to the company in recent years, including the European Union, the United States, China, Russia, India, Mexico, Japan, Colombia, Argentina, Peru, South Africa, Nigeria, Australia and New Zealand. The company recorded sales of 7.8 million euros in the first half of 2020. Its line of Software as a Service (SaaS) has grown exponentially this year, as a result of the change in user behaviour observed after the health emergency caused by the COVID-19. Nowadays, Lleida.net patented methods are recognized as valid to certify legal notifications in hiring processes by authorities from more than 70 countries. Lleida.net is quoted in a dual way in BME Growth in Madrid, and in Euronext Growth in Paris. With a revaluation close to 800 per cent so far this year, it is one of the fastest-growing companies in Europe. At yesterday's market close, its shares were trading in Madrid at 9.15 euros and in Paris at 9.20 euros. The company has also received approval from its shareholders to go public in the coming weeks in the OTCQX segment of the New York OTC Markets, in the United States.
