RWE raises annual forecasts on strong first-half performance, Amprion stake gain
July 28 (Reuters) - Germany's biggest power producer RWE raised earnings forecasts for 2026 and 2027 on Tuesday, driven by robust operational performance in the first half of the year and positive one-off effects.
RWE said the second-half earnings are expected to benefit from its increased stake in Amprion and higher commodity prices.
Here are some more details:
• The company had agreed to buy a majority stake in Germany's second-largest high-voltage grid operator, Amprion, for €3.6 billion in June, increasing its holding to 55% as it expands its regulated assets business.
• RWE expects 2026 adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization to be between €5.8 billion and €6.4 billion ($7.29 billion), up from €5.2 billion to €5.8 billion forecast earlier.
• For 2027, the company increased its adjusted EBITDA forecast to €6.7 billion to €7.3 billion, from €6.2 billion to €6.8 billion previously
• It also raised adjusted net income forecasts for both years.
• The company reported preliminary, unaudited first-half 2026 adjusted EBITDA of €3 billion and adjusted net income of €1.3 billion.
• RWE is set to release its complete half-year results on August 13.
