June 22 (Reuters) - British technology firm Ocado Group said on Monday that its chief executive Tim Steiner and board are continuing long-term CEO succession planning and is engaging with potential candidates.

Sky News reported on Sunday that Niklas Heuveldop, chief executive of Vonage, a subsidiary of Sweden's Ericsson , had been sounded out for the role.

Reuters could not immediately verify the report.

Steiner, Ocado's founding chief executive, founded the company in 2000 with two former Goldman Sachs colleagues and has served as an executive director since then.
