Italian digital service company Engineering sells two units to Accenture
June 17 (Reuters) - Italian digital service company Engineering said on Wednesday it would sell its Alfahealth and Industries eXcellence units to global tech consulting company Accenture.
• No value for the transaction was disclosed.
• A source familiar with the matter told Reuters the deal was worth around €900 million ($1 billion).
• Alfahealth and Industries eXcellence respectively offer digital solutions for Italy's healthcare and industrial sectors.
• Together they accounted for about 18% of Engineering's consolidated net revenue and 25% of adjusted core earnings (EBITDA) in 2025.
• Engineering, jointly controlled by private equity firms Bain Capital and NB Renaissance, reported a 2025 adjusted core profit of €280.3 million.
• The transaction will help sharpen Engineering's focus on its core segments and further accelerate its fast-growing AI offering, the company said.
• Accenture said separately that the two acquisitions were part of its strategy of integrating software, data and AI to accelerate the competitiveness and transformation of Italy's strategic sectors.
• The transactions are expected to close in the fourth quarter of this year, subject to approvals from Italian antitrust and government authorities.($1 = 0.8627 euros)
