Carlyle Group to sell Germany's Flender to Triton Partners
June 3 (Reuters) - Carlyle said on Wednesday it agreed to sell mechanical drive systems provider Flender to Triton Partners in a deal between equity firms.
• The terms of the transaction have not been disclosed
• The transaction is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2026
• Germany-based Flender is a supplier of gearboxes, couplings and generators for industrial and wind power applications with more than 8,000 employees in 34 countries
• Triton Partners' expertise in the energy industry includes current and previous investments in companies such as RENK, Trench and FairWind
• Bloomberg reported on Tuesday Triton was nearing $3.5 billion deal for Flender, which Carlyle bought from Siemens in 2021
