Scope affirms Landkreditt Bank AS’s issuer rating of A- and changes the Outlook
to Positive
Positive outlook reflects the bank’s improved capital position underpinned by a
robust funding profile and consistently low cost of risk.

Rating action
Scope Ratings GmbH (Scope) has affirmed Landkreditt Bank AS’ (Landkreditt)
issuer rating and preferred senior unsecured debt rating at A-, and changed the
Outlook to Positive from Stable.

The Positive Outlook reflects the potential for ratings to be upgraded should
the bank maintain ample buffers to regulatory capital requirements as well as a
strong funding and liquidity profile while maintaining asset quality, as it
implements its growth strategy. The group’s CET1 ratio has been increasing
consistently, from 22.0% at year-end 2021 to 25.7% at year-end 2025, with the
increase in 2025 largely owing to the implementation of CRR3. Landkreditt’s
financial viability is also supported by a high deposits-to-loans ratio and
reliable access to increased funding through its covered bonds vehicle,
Landkreditt Boligkreditt AS. The Positive Outlook reflects our expectation that
the bank will maintain stable credit quality while some downward pressure on
capital ratios is likely, as the bank pursues its growth strategy.
