UK's Informa sees stronger 2027 as Iran war disruptions ease
June 18 (Reuters) - Informa, the world's largest exhibitions group, signalled stronger growth in 2027 on Thursday and posted underlying revenue growth of 6.4% in the first five months of 2026, as its live events business recovers from disruptions caused by the Iran war.
Informa said around 90% of its live events business is growing strongly across markets unaffected by the conflict, signalling that large-scale business-to-business (B2B) events operators are finding their footing amid the disruption in the Middle East.
Here are some more details:
• The company runs events in markets including the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Bahrain, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia.
• The London-based company saw events rescheduled across more than 15 brands within 2026, with a number of new event launches, including Vitafoods Dubai, deferred to 2027.
• Informa said it has strong forward visibility and a full year of annual and biennial B2B brands, as well as the restaging of deferred launches and brands for 2027.
• Informa's B2B Live Events division posted underlying revenue growth of 7.6% in the first five months of 2026, with the group trading more than $4 billion in revenue for the full year via subscriptions, recurring revenue and forward-booked contracts.
• It reaffirmed full-year group earnings guidance of double-digit growth.
