SNS Reaal is a banking-insurance group that operates in 3 areas:

• insurance (80.9% of income before intra-group subtractions);
• banking (18.5%): retail and business banking (77.2%) and property finance (22.8%%);
• other (0.6%).

At the end of 2008, the group was managing EUR21.9 billion of current deposits and EUR67.7 billion in current loans.
